Driveway Dinosaurs

Yesterday we went to the dollar store and saw some chalk on the shelf. Then we thought to ourselves “Why not do a post in chalk?” Dinosaurs came to mind. Mohammad drew a Raptor while Shelley drew a Stegosaurus

Kew Park

Shelley just moved to West Vancouver and her parents found a tinny park that is a few minutes and two very steep hills away from her house. Today was just a really quick and relaxing time in the shade.

Whytecliff Park

So we have discovered a small park near Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. There is practically no one there on weekdays, but come Saturday it is almost impossible to park. We did managed to find the overflow parking lot that is not to far from the main park. This place has great lookout points to draw the beach from up high. Mohammad and Shelley drew the same island that was just off shore.

McSpadden Park

Today we just kept thing simple and went to the park right by Mohammad’s place. Most of the time there are dogs playing but today there was only people tanning. Shelley drew in pencil while Mohammad stuck with brush pen.

Vancouver Aquarium

We have always wanted to go to the Aquarium to draw, and we decided that we better go now before school takes over our lives. Shelley started the day out in blue pencil, then went into pen, did a few more in normal pencil, and finishing the day with her set of alcohol based markers. Mohammad switched between pencil and pencil crayon until his last drawing, in which he borrowed Shelley’s pen set.

Granville Island

School is back, so we decided to do something near school. Granville Island is a busy place, epically in the summer. Luckily we found a nice quiet spot to draw. Mohammad drew in pencil, and Shelley used white conte and pen on blue paper.

False Creek

We found a shaded and quiet spot by the sea wall under the Cambie Street Bridge. It’s a good spot to draw the water and passing kayakers. Mohammad drew in pencil, and Shelley in pen.

The Rocky Mountaineer

The Rocky Mountaineer

We had the opportunity to go on a train ride from Kamloops to Vancouver. We were able to see a lot of sights, which helped us to draw a lot of different images. Shelley switched between pencil and pen while Mohammad stayed with pencil.
